Challenge
It required time to learn how to access the information
The mountain tunnel construction sites have numerous sensors and corresponding dashboards, which required a certain amount of time to learn how to manage. For example, if a site supervisor wanted to know the operating status of a pump, they had to check multiple systems and navigate complex dashboards to obtain the information. The complexity of the dashboards caused delays in responding to abnormalities and inspection tasks, and the increase in monitoring systems made management even more complicated.

Results
Daily inspection time was reduced by 40%
With the introduction of BizStack and BizStack Assistant, site supervisors can now instantly check the operational status of equipment using their usual chat tool on their smartphones through natural conversations. This not only reduced daily inspection work time by 40%, but also enabled rapid information gathering and initial response during abnormalities by retrieving data from on-site sensors and cameras, as well as recovery procedures and other knowledge. Tunnel construction sites are dark, confined, and dangerous places with large construction machinery in operation. However, being able to remotely monitor the site helps ensure the safety of the workers.

Future Prospects
Further improvement on efficiency and safety
Nishimatsu Construction Co., Ltd. is working on testing advanced technologies, including unmanned and automated construction systems for mountain tunnels, at its research and development center 'N-Field.' They are also testing DX technologies, including AI and IoT. By combining BizStack Assistant with these technologies, significant improvements in efficiency and safety are expected not only in tunnel construction but also in various construction sites such as dams, roads, and buildings.
